Tuesday is Giving Tuesday, a day when people can donate to dozens of charities in one fell swoop.
"There is never a way to know what each [donor] will bring back to their community," the executive director of the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan tells MLive.
"The hope is that people will set aside few minutes from holiday shopping to give back to their community through the charities and causes they support."
The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan has chosen 62 nonprofits in the region to take part in Giving Tuesday.
