CareSource Foundation Opens New $400,000 Funding Competition For Florida ...

A Florida nonprofit that helps kids with "medically complex" conditions is in the running for a big grant.

The CareSource Foundation, a nonprofit that administers one of the country's fastest-growing Medicaid managed care plans, is offering $400,000 in grants to community-based organizations and nonprofits in the state to help kids with such conditions, reports the Florida Times-Union.

"Our goal is to support the sustainability and expansion of their important work to improve health outcomes, health access, and support for families and caregivers so these children can live their best possible life," a CareSource VP says in a press release.

Children First of Florida, the state's largest children's advocacy group, notes that children with such conditions are often "functionally limiting" and in some cases, "life-threatening," per the Times-Union.

The grants will go to at least 30 organizations in the state.

Nominations are now open on the foundation's website. Read the Entire Article
