An Illinois school district that provides alternative education programs for students who can't go to school in their home has been awarded more than $630,000 from three different grant awards.

26 recently learned it will receive more than $630,000 from three different grant awards, including a $10,000 grant from the Pella Rollscreen Foundation to complete a teenage resource closet, the Daily Herald reports.
"Our staff often notice that these students are in need of basic items such as hygiene products, winter clothing, and healthy snacks," says Mandy Kreps, director of Family Support Services and School Attendance.
"With this funding, we will be able to establish a resource closet to meet some mental health needs of our students."
The district provides alternative education programs for students who, for a variety of reasons, cannot continue to school in their home.
