A high school senior in Bainbridge, Ga., is being called a hero for sticking up for his fellow students after a teacher was threatened with being fired, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Camryn Veal, a junior at Bainbridge High School, walked into the school's principal's office last week and told the teacher, "I'm going to make a stand.
I'm going to stand up for my classmates.
I'm going to stand up for my school.
I'm going to fight for my school," he said.
The teacher told him to back away, but Veal stood up and shouted, "You're a hero! You're a hero! You're a hero! You're a hero! You're a hero! You're a hero!" Veal's principal called the boy's father, who said, "You're a hero, too!" and told him to call the police.
Police were called, and the boy told them his father had been threatening him and other students for weeks, WSB-TV reports.
He told them his father had recently been fired from his job as a security guard at a nursing home.
