Bo and Donna Gossett have pledged $2.5 million to help create the "No.
1 student experience in the country," according to a press release from Clemson University.
The couple's gift will go to the university's Division of Student Affairs, which " strives to provide every Clemson student with the best opportunity to grow and excel in school, outside the classroom, and after graduation with a world-class education," Clemson President Jim Clements says.
The Gossetts' gift "is an investment into the lives of our students for many years to come," Clements says.
Bo Gossett, a third-generation owner of a concrete pipe company in South Carolina, says he and his wife wanted to "put resources where it would make a difference in the lives of our students."
The couple's daughter, Janie Gossett Marchbanks, is a student at Clemson.
