Robert Kent has been named the new chief philanthropy officer of the Communities Foundation of Texas, one of the biggest community foundations in the US.

"Robert Kent is a strong advocate for North Texas and has extensive community knowledge and advocacy experience," CFT President and CEO Wayne White says in a statement, praising Kent's "deep understanding of issues facing neighborhoods" and his "strong track record for helping Texas become a more healthy, equitable, and livable state where all communities can thrive."

Most recently, Kent was the Texas state director of Trust for Public Land, a national nonprofit that works to make the health, climate, equity, and community benefits of parks and nature accessible to all, the Dallas Morning News reports.

"Robert has the right experience to lead CFT during an exciting time for our organization as we seek to further leverage our philanthropic convening power and expand our community impact," White says.

Kent will begin his new role June 17. Read the Entire Article
